SITUATED IN SLEIGHTS This holiday cottage is ideal for both a country and seaside holiday. It is just 3.5 miles from Whitby, the picturesque east coastline and on the edge of the moors and attractive moorlands villages such as Goathland (Aidensfield) - of TV`s Heartbeat fame - 4 miles away and Grosmont, The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railways terminus, is also within a few minutes drive. Ruswarp, 1.5 miles away, has a nine hole Miniture Golf Course, a Minature Steam Railway and Tea Rooms as well as Boating, Canoeing and Fishing on the River Esk.

Both pubs in Sleights The Salmon Leap and The Plough lay on food and one has Saturday night entertainment. Other amenities include a Petrol/Service Station, Antiques Shops, Fish and Chip Shop and the nationally renowned Radfords Butchers, Bothams Bakers. Sleights is also on the bus and train routes, the pick up points just 5 minutes walk from Lowdale Farm Cottage.
